It work for Windows 10 only and a new game install
- Borderlands 2
- Hex multitool 1.24 HERE
- Java 1.8 HERE
- Borderlands Community Mod Manager HERE
- BL2Reborn HERE
- Launch the game once, just in case and to generate some file. Not only the launch, but go to game once.
- Unzip the ENTIRE zip folder anywhere, and run hex multitool.
- You then need to Set the filepath to your borderlands2.exe (.\steam\steamapps\common\borderlands2\binaries\win32).
- Once that's done, set your console key to F9 (F6 default worked for me). Don't change it to anything else unless you know what you are doing. Make it F9. Lastly, disable sanity check. ONLY when you've done all of these steps do you click apply. Reference the picture linked below. https://i.imgur.com/Fpvx0Id.png
- Unzip the .zip file downloaded, place bl2reborn.txt in your Borderlands 2 binaries folder. Reference the picture below. IT CANNOT BE ANYWHERE ELSE OTHER THAN THE BORDERLANDS 2 BINARIES FOLDER. Image Reference: https://i.imgur.com/JoPHYZM.png
- Unzip BCMM wherever you want
- Open BCMM, it will check for update.
- Launch it, if Bl2 isn't detected set the path manually. Do not setup anything, just continue until you can "Open file" at left top, open bl2reborn.txt that is in your binaries.
You can make any changes you want to make to the mod, such as picking optionals, enabling BAR, etc. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE WHEN YOU ARE DONE IF YOU ARE MAKING CHANGES.
- Launch Borderlands 2.
- When you are at the character select screen, WAIT (PLEASE WAIT) 5-10 seconds then press F9. This WILL bring up your console. Then type
exec bl2reborn.txt
You should get 2 lines of chat in your game saying Running BL2 Reborn 1.6.3.4 etc. THIS IS NORMAL. Reference the pic below. https://i.imgur.com/JiYaXRD.jpg
