Still Can't Access Hacker News?

Back Story:

Last night our old IP address became unroutable. We've since swtiched to a new one, and updated DNS. You shouldn't still be seeing timeouts, but some ISPs' caching name servers aren't observing our 30 minute TTL.

What Can You Do?

  1. Restart your computer, your router, and your WLAN link. No really, one of them could have the bad cached DNS record.
  2. Switch to better DNS servers
    1. Google Public DNS
    2. OpenDNS
  3. Check your hosts file. If you don't know what this is, odds are it's not your problem.
