It's the token
value from the output of the below command.
Powershell:
kubectl -n kubernetes-dashboard describe secret $(kubectl -n kubernetes-dashboard get secret | sls admin-user | ForEach-Object { $_ -Split '\s+' } | Select -First 1)
TIP: Create a PowerShell function in your $PROFILE (like Get-K8s-Dashboard-Token
) to make this easier to remember / perform.
Bash:
kubectl -n kubernetes-dashboard describe secret $(kubectl -n kubernetes-dashboard get secret | grep admin-user | awk '{print $1}')
start kubectl proxy

Use the token
you found in step 3 to login.
kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kubernetes/ingress-nginx/controller-v0.43.0/deploy/static/provider/cloud/deploy.yaml
The step 3 didn't work for me. Used command from https://github.com/kubernetes/dashboard/blob/master/docs/user/access-control/creating-sample-user.md#getting-a-bearer-token
