If tomorrow all the code was gone,
that I'd programmed all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my shell and my editor.
I'd thank my lucky stars,
to be coding here today.
'Cause the pipe still stands for composability
and they can't take that way.
And I'm proud to be a unix programmer,
where at least I know I can use C.
And I wont forget the developer who stayed up late
who gave these APIs to me. |

If tomorrow all the things were gone,
I’d worked for all my life.
And I had to start again,
with just my children and my wife.
I’d thank my lucky stars,
to be livin here today. | |
‘ Cause the flag still stands for freedom,
and they can’t take that away.
And I’m proud to be an American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me. |
