Update AWS Linux

sudo yum update

Perform a quick update on your instance:

sudo yum update -y

Root User

sudo su

Fix warning: setlocale: LC_CTYPE: cannot change locale (UTF-8): No such file or directory

vi /etc/environment

add these lines...

LANG=en_US.utf-8
LC_ALL=en_US.utf-8

Install git in your EC2 instance

sudo yum install git -y
