the meaning of gist
This is gist.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.
It is my life.
I must master it as I must master my life.
Without me gist is useless.
Without gist, I am useless.

ES6 Realms API

Notational Conventions

This section describes the conventions used here to describe type signatures.

A [T] is an array-like value (only ever used read-only in this API), i.e., one with an integer length and whose indexed properties from 0 to length - 1 are of type T.

A type T? should be read as T | undefined -- that is, an optional value that may be undefined.

ES6 proxies in ES5
//----- The ECMAScript 6 meta object protocol (MOP) implemented in ES5
// This is how getting a property is handled internally.
// Double underscore (__) implies internal operation.
Object.prototype.__Get__ = function (propKey, receiver) {
receiver = receiver || this;
var desc = this.__GetOwnProperty__(propKey);
if (desc === undefined) {
var parent = this.__GetPrototypeOf__();
if (parent === null) return undefined;

Get/set ID3 meta tags using ffmpeg

A quick guide on how to read/write/modify ID3 metadata tags for audio / media files using ffmpeg.

FFmpeg has a free-form command line option that allows the user to specify key-value-pairs for encoding metadata. Let's take a look.

1. Read ID3 metadata

To list all global metadata tags for a media file, just set an input but no output file.

use std::{
ops::{Generator, GeneratorState},
pin::Pin,
};
/// A wrapper struct around Generators,
/// providing a safe implementation of the [`Iterator`] trait.
pub struct GenIter<G>(Option<G>);

1 bug, $50,000+ in bounties, how Zendesk intentionally left a backdoor in hundreds of Fortune 500 companies

hi, i'm daniel. i'm a 15-year-old with some programming experience and i do a little bug hunting in my free time. here's the insane story of how I found a single bug that affected over half of all Fortune 500 companies:

say hello to zendesk

If you've spent some time online, you’ve probably come across Zendesk.

Zendesk is a customer service tool used by some of the world’s top companies. It’s easy to set up: you link it to your company’s support email (like [email protected]), and Zendesk starts managing incoming emails and creating tickets. You can handle these tickets yourself or have a support team do it for you. Zendesk is a billion-dollar company, trusted by big names like Cloudflare.

Personally, I’ve always found it surprising that these massive companies, worth billions, rely on third-party tools like Zendesk instead of building their own in-house ticketing systems.
